What to do When You’re Not Sure of Your Life Purpose

Are you struggling to figure out your life purpose?

Have you had thoughts similar to these?

“I still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up.”

“I’m trying to find out what I’m meant to do that would be fulfilling and bring in financial abundance.”

“I’m trying to let go of deeply defined beliefs about myself that don’t fit me anymore, and getting rid of limiting beliefs.”

“I’m feeling really stuck as to my next direction.”

If you aren’t clear where your life is going, you’re not alone.

So many people struggle with finding their purpose and getting clear on what they want in life.

Our lives have become so complex.

The challenge is that we’re living too much of the time in our heads, and we can’t tune into our higher Self – that intuition or inner knowing.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day tasks of life — working all day, taking care of the family/partners and home, and then tackling an ever expanding “to do” list.

That doesn’t leave space or time for visioning or thinking about what you want.

Answering the question, “what do you want to do” can be challenging when you don’t have the space or time to think about it.

Start with this question, “who do I want to be?”

Clarity is the most important thing each of us needs in order to get where we want to go in our life or business.

“I can compare clarity to pruning in gardening. You know, you need to be clear. If you are not clear, nothing is going to happen. You have to be clear. Then you have to be confident about your vision. And after that, you just have to put a lot of work in.”

~Diane von Furstenberg

Now it’s your turn:

Ask yourself these questions:

What is my intention for myself this year?

I want to be … (answer this question five times or more (keep writing if you’re on a roll).

What do I value?

What am I willing to do to get there?

What do I need to let go of in order to make this happen?

Next use the pdf in the link below “How to Create Your Ideal Business or Life in 2016″ to write out this year “as if” it already happened.

This sets a strong intention and signals the Universe that you are ready.

Write it in the past tense as if it already happened.  Start at the end of the year and work backwards until now.
