This is my fourth fundraiser to raise funds to help women in Afghanistan through Women for Women International.   This fundraiser is a two for one: you donate $20 directly to Women for Women’s Afghan Program and I will teach you The Work of Byron Katie.

The teleclass is on Thursday, Sept. 16 from 5 to 6:30 pm PST and you can join the call from anywhere you have a phone.

• In this group class held over the phone, I will introduce you to Byron Katie’s form of inquiry to question any stressful thought that causes you to experience anxiety, worry, frustration, anger or any negative emotion.  I consider this a ‘life tool’ to use anytime you experience emotional suffering – worry or anxiety are common and 41 million American’s experience anxiety!

• By questioning your thoughts, you will experience relief and freedom from emotional suffering.  You are simply opening your mind to your personal truth, which is often the opposite of what you are thinking about.

• I decided after I read Half The Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunity for Women Worldwide that I would do one thing to help women.  Through my business, I sponsored a woman for one year through Women for Women International.  I was assigned to support a woman in Afghanistan.  So I decided to learn as much as I could about Afghanistan women and their situation to know where my money went and learn how I was helping my sister in Afghanistan.

• If we each do one thing such as take part in my teleclass for $20 donation to Women for Women International, we are helping another woman in the world learn how to support her family, get an education and learn womens’ rights.

It costs approximately $225 to sponsor one women for a year.  Women for Women International will send you a tax-deductible receipt.
